Biology of the "unconscious" in practice

Course contents

Medicine and psychotherapy have recognized from the dawn of their modern existence the existence of the “unconscious” as a central factor in the physical and mental healing process. Even after 100 years of research and experience, the abilities to understand, work and influence the “unconscious” remain partial.
With the current expansion in therapeutic approaches that include expanding consciousness, mind and body, it is important to get to know the body systems in depth, and their relationship to the emotional mental system.
In the current course, we will address the biology of the “unconscious” that occurs in the central and autonomic nervous system. A deep understanding of the structure and function of these systems opens up new possibilities for therapeutic techniques.
We will delve into the study of the “structure-function-reaction-transduction” of the central nervous system and practice a variety of precise techniques for diagnosis and treatment, which work along the neural pathways, and immediately affect the senses, emotions and behavior. (We call them neurovisceral techniques).
The effective contact techniques that help in a variety of situations where the health of the body and mind, and the quality of life have been compromised, and no effective solution has been found. These include chronic pain, symptoms stemming from mental trauma, sleep problems, digestion, emotional regulation and more.
The course will take place in the framework of a small and intimate learning group.
This learning capsule will make it possible to internalize complex and special techniques in an easy and in-depth Hands-on-style experiential way – practical practices one on top of the other, with controlled practice and the development of the skill needed to drive a healing process.

Enrichment session for qualified therapists

structural

The anatomy, physiology and traditional structure of the nervous system, the weak points in the structure, for example tonic immobility, catalepsy, waxy flexibility and their relation to human behavior in situations of stress, trauma, etc. Familiarity with the unique anatomy and physiology of the vagus nerve, the vagal tone and the types of information transmission

Behavioral

Primary behaviorism - in line with its character why the definition (fight, flight or stagnation) does not stand the test of reality and how a healthy system reacts against a system that has experienced an extreme experience for example trauma. We will get to know and practice the main points of polyvagal theory and the emotional scale, understanding avoidant behavior mechanisms and ways of dealing with them with the help of contact and communication techniques. We will understand the "Triune brain" theory and treatment techniques that encourage a touch-based approach to support behavioral change.

sensory

The body diagram - the sensory representation of the organs in our mind and affects a person's perception of the limits and dimensions of his external and internal body, This concept that dominantly affects the relationship of the person with his environment and himself. Interception, proprioception, their effect on sensory load and their role in sensory regulation mechanisms and attention abilities. We will harness the somato-sensory sensing system to the process of mental recovery and discuss its effects on eating disorders, attention and concentration.

functional

The unique relationship between body cavities and their effect on health, level of alertness/mental and emotional states. With the help of diagnostic, treatment and guidance tools, we will harness this piece of anatomy to relieve a wide range of acute symptoms and practice how to use them as a first aid tool in the physical-emotional process
